SuffolkVotes Social Media Campaign
This election season, our marketing agency proudly partnered with SuffolkVotes to energize student voter engagement through a dynamic social media campaign. Leveraging Instagram, we transformed civic duty into a community-driven movement.
Our focus was to stay non-partisan while inspiring students to educate themselves and take ownership of their voting decisions. We conducted on-campus interviews with students from diverse backgrounds, sharing their perspectives on why voting matters. These reels resonated across the Suffolk community, fostering a relatable and inspiring message.
To empower informed decision-making, we provided step-by-step guides on registering to vote, resources for researching ballot questions, and tools to understand the voting process.
Another component of the campaign was utilizing Suffolk University staff for reliable information. The Election Advice series we launched on Instagram featured five episodes with Professor Rachael Cobb, an expert on voting and elections. We covered essential topics for student voters, from having tough conversations with family and friends surrounding politics, to deciphering real and false information online. These episodes were designed to be accessible and engaging for busy students.
Interactive Instagram features, Q&A on the story, and tagging challenges, further engaged students, fostering excitement and community collaboration. The result was increased engagement on the SuffolkVotes Instagram page, and being recognized as a 2024 ALL IN Most Engaged Campus for College Student Voting
This campaign highlighted the potential of social media to drive real-world change. By connecting, educating, and inspiring students, we demonstrated how marketing can amplify civic responsibility and create a more informed community.
